Eight Minute Energy

putting it where the sun shines

Did you know that it takes about 8 minutes for light from the Sun to reach the Earth?

8minutenergy is the largest independent solar power developer in the U.S.—they manage all aspects of a “solar farm” project, from the financing, permitting and planning to the construction and operation. With a project portfolio of more than 3,000 megawatts, 8minutenergy is producing enough solar power to run 492,000 households.

Make them look bigger than they are. When you’re asking a municipal government to invest tens of millions of dollars with you, you can’t look like a 5-person operation—you need to look like a large solar energy brand. Decision-makers were often-times basing their vote at City Council meetings on 5 minutes worth of discovery at the company’s website—which lacked any brand messaging or value proposition.

In an industry cluttered with everything “solar”, we leveraged the 8minute name to its full potential—creating a memorable identity that stands out and helps reinforce the 8minute story.

This included an update to the messaging, logo, website, vehicle signage, marketing materials, and tradeshow presence.
